Standard Features Below are some of the features that set I.M.M. apart from the competition. There will be other references inside the brochure. This only scratches the surface, so please do not hesitate to call if you have any further questions. Photo at left shows how I.M.M. pre installs and winds the cables. This saves the contractor a tremendous amount of time, which saves you money. Note: each bearing is cross bolted into the beam This is the strongest beam / bearing attachment in the industry. Also notice the Grooved Cable Winders, standard on most I.M.M. Lifts.
To the right is a typical I.M.M. Cradle End and Guide Post Base. Note the components at the end of the beam. They are what actually carries the boat, and they extend into the beam to capture the structural component. Most lift companies simply weld the brackets to the non-structural top flange. This should never carry the weight. The tubular device is our Guide Base. The tube passes through the top plate, and the whole assembly clamps the entire beam. This is the strongest and most easily adjustable Guide Base in the industry.
Photo at right shows the two bearing housings we use. The smaller one is used on lifts 20,000# and below. The larger one is used on lifts 24,000# - 80,000#. The insert bearings are self-lubricating cast nylon. These are meant to be maintenance free, but they are greaseable as well. I.M.M. guarantees these bearings, parts and labor for as long as you own the lift.
At right: is the I.M.M. Perma-Bunk 2000 with Patented White Virgin Vinyl Cover. This cover is much stronger than the previous black cover, and is secured by stainless steel screws driven into the sides. There are no screw or rivet head s on the top. These covers also include a 10 year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
This is the I.M.M. “Deadman” Cable Clamp. This is the most positive Cable Clamp in the industry. Others have copied this, but none are as easy to use or more positive than ours. This device allows the cable lengths to be easily adjusted to obtain the proper attitude of the boat The upper photo is the clamp as it is used on the lift beam. The lower photo is an end view showing how the two self mate. when they clamp together.
